Here you can register your XBox, Playstation, etc on the Network.
Please note it may take up to 24hr after you have been booked into your room before you can register for ResNet.NOTICE: Game Console users must use a hub or switch for online gaming. Routers are not allowed.
- Plug your games console into the network and start it up.
- Locate the current mac address of the console and copy it down. For instructions on obtaining your Mac address, click here.
- Enter your Student ID and Date of Birth, and the current Physical/MAC address of your games console below, and click on "Register".
While this will allow you to access the Internet with your console, you will likely notice that the connection is reported as having a "Strict NAT" or "NAT Type 3." This can cause problems in some online multiplayer games, but is unavoidable due to the scale of the ResNet network.
